Breckenridge

Looking for Breckenridge real estate? The Town of Breckenridge sits at the base of the Tenmile Range in Summit County.  Home to 5,000, it is the seat and largest community in Summit County.  The population is boosted by part-time residents and substantial number of vacation homes.  Blue River is an adjacent rural area south of Breckenridge.

Breckenridge Ski Resort has turned the town into a popular destination for skiers and snowboarding.  And there are two cross-country centers.  But the Great Outdoors brings folks here for warm-weather action, too.  Some head out to the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.  Others get out on the hiking and mountain biking trails through the national forests, fly-fishing in the Blue River, boating on Lake Dillon.

The Victorian architecture along Main Street Breckenridge welcomes visitors to hundreds of unique shops, eateries, live theater, galleries, and businesses.  Major events also happen here.  Film festivals, music festivals, Taste of Breckenridge, Ullr Fest, Fourth of July parade.  Breckenridge also hosts athletic competitions, bike rides to snowboarding.

Frisco

North of Breckenridge is the charming historic community of Frisco, a town of 3,000 on the edge of Lake Dillon.  Frisco is centrally located near four ski resorts and offers many recreational opportunities on its own.  It is known for the many activities and events, shops and eateries as well as its friendly community spirit.  Neighborhoods touch downtown, the water, Buffalo Mountain and into the surrounding countryside.  The small town of Dillon also sits nearby on the edge of the lake.

Copper Mountain

Over the mountain west of Frisco is the Copper Mountain Ski Resort, a more intimate community featuring skiing and snowboarding along with a golf course and shops.  Offering reasonable prices, the large condo buildings and duplex-style homes are attractive for vacation homes in Copper Mountain.

Keystone

East of Frisco, Keystone Ski Resort offers ski villages and wonderful family activities and recreation.  Golf, bicycling, and hiking head the list.  Add night skiing.  Keystone is the closest ski area in Summit County to Denver.  The community features many condo buildings within walking distance to the slopes along with some gorgeous mountain homes.

Silverthorne

Along the highway north of Lake Dillon is Silverthorne, a popular area for locals with a population of 4600.  It nestles in a valley between the Tenmile Range and the Continental Divide.  The outlet stores, recreation center, and many services are available in Silverthorne.
