Pleasant neighborhoods of real estate in Louisville Colorado nestle around her historic suburban Denver downtown.  Choose to relocate to these Boulder County properties in northwest Denver and you will discover Louisville’s charm and livability.  The Best Places community has preserved its small-town atmosphere while growing to over 20,000 residents.

And what convenience!  Louisville, Colorado is 22 miles northwest of Denver and 10 miles southeast of Boulder north of the Boulder-Denver Turnpike.  It borders Superior, Broomfield, and Lafayette.  Northwest Parkway skims the edge of Louisville, Highway 287 sits to the east.  The location offers easy access to employers and Front Range amenities – world-class skiing, education, sports and cultural activities.

Louisville is known for its single-family homes, attractive neighborhoods, and pride in home ownership.  Where would you live?  The larger homes may feature bigger lots, some with acreage.  While the average Louisville home price exceeds $300,000, there are some condos for less at Westfield Condos, Silver Trees, Copper Crest Condos and Crooked Creek.

Look for midrange homes in Caledonia, Sundance, Dutch Creek, Ponderosa, and Cherrywood.  The next higher price range may send you to Grove at Harper Lake, Bella Vista, Centennial Valley, North End, Saddle Ridge, and Saddleback.  Hunters Ridge offers a little of everything.

Recreation

Boulder County is on the edge of the Colorado Rocky Mountains where unlimited recreational opportunities can be yours.  The sun shines more than 300 days a year.  Think ice skating and golf and enjoying the thousands of acres of open space or miles of hiking and biking trails.   Explore Davidson Mesa Trailhead Park, Rabbit Hole Recreation Area, Waneka Lake Park and Trails, and Glacier Park and Preserve.

History

Long ago, a dozen coal mines brought workers and their families to Louisville.  Neighborhoods sprung up around them and Louisville sits on top of them today.  The miners worked hard all winter to supply heat to the nearby communities.  They also played hard during the warmer months.  Imagine baseball as a community pastime, a girls’ basketball team in 1909 and a Colorado State Champion football team in 1948.

Economy

A growing economy has added a boon to Louisville and the region.  High tech industries such as Rouge Wave Software and Space Systems provide high incomes.  Companies also include Door to Door Organics, Swimlane, Global Imaging, Medtronic, Design Mechanical, Lifetime Fitness, and communications and health companies.  Mom and Pop stores and smaller services thrive in the atmosphere.

Schools

Louisville offers families top-rated schools in the Boulder Valley School District.  Most students attend Monarch K-8, Louisville Middle School, and Monarch High School.  Front Range Community College, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Naropa University offer further options.
